Currently, Mathuz works as a Security and Risk Prevention Consultant at Itaú Unibanco S.A., the largest private bank in Brazil and the largest financial conglomerate in the southern hemisphere. In this position, he is in charge of managing 40 branches in terms of security, risk prevention, compliance, etc., as well as visiting organizations to assess risks and ensure that security protocols are being followed, among many other duties. Since 2015, Mathuz has held positions with Itaú Unibanco S.A as an administrative manager, operational supervisor, administrative assistant to management, and business agent. He also held positions at BDMG- Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais (Development Bank of  Minas Gerais) and INTERMEDIUM, a sales promotion firm.
